M.A.S.T. Enrichment

Tiller School’s MAST program is one that has been designed to extend grade level curriculum, with an emphasis on math, reading, arts, science and technology. MAST focuses on hands-on applications and designs, using the engineering process to promote critical thinking.

This program is facilitated by Leslie Whitmore. Each classroom is visited at least once per week for these interactive lessons. In addition, MAST also provides another weekly level of service, serving students both in small groups and individually, in each classroom, throughout the school.

This additional service is founded on Tiller’s comprehensive, standards-based K-5 program that includes classroom based differentiated instruction. There is a designated, specific grade level time to provide this targeted instruction to meet the individual needs of all students. MAST takes place during SAIL (Student Academic Individualized Learning) for each grade level.

Who Can Join?

MAST serves all students in one capacity or another, that are within their general education classroom during SAIL.
