Is Tiller School tuition free?
Yes, it is completely free to attend Tiller School.

Can any child attend Tiller?
Tiller School enrollment is open to all K-5 student in Carteret County. New Kindergarten students are selected using a Lottery Process. This helps to ensure we keep our teacher to student ratio low. Waiting lists are often available for students that aren’t chosen during enrollment lottery or for higher grades (1-5).
Do you have bus pickup?
Yes, Tiller currently has two school buses. These buses do a scheduled pickup and drop-off at separate locations in our county. To have your child added to the bus roster, you must apply and be accepted.

Is class in person or virtual?
As of 2024 all of our classes have returned to in person instruction. In the event of a weather emergency, some online instruction may be scheduled to ensure that your student does not miss valuable class time.
